“3rd Saturday” Free Online Tournaments
When the pandemic started in 2020, all the over-the-board chess tournaments became impossible. To engage scholastic chess players in playing chess during this challenging time, Chess for Unity created the 3rd Saturday Online Tournament. The tournament attracts over 50 players each month. The peak number of players attending the 3rd Saturday Online Tournament was more than 120. We appreciate and value the young chess players’ passion for chess and are proud to be able to serve the chess community.
